A Tool Designed To Demystify HSV-1 and HSV-2
Site improvements are still being made*
Mission Statement
The purpose of this initiative is to provide HSV positive individuals a tool by which they can track and manage their outbreaks.
Anecdotally, there are many different factors impacting the appearance and severity of outbreaks, both negatively and positively.
This application will allow individuals to insert data on their daily habits and whether or not an outbreak is occurring in an attempt to establish a relationship between the two.
After enough data is acquired, the data will be trained using a machine learning algorithm to provide useful insights on what behavior patterns might reduce, and even prevent, outbreaks.

How to Use
1. Create a member account, populating all required information.
2. Enter daily readings on various factors you experienced throughout your day and whether or not an outbreak is present. Consistency is key here as the former will be used to predict the latter.
3. After enough data is collected, a machine learning algorithm will be trained on the dataset to derive feature importance(i.e. statistically, what factors of your day to day life cause or prevent outbreaks) and predict whether or not you are at risk of an outbreak tomorrow, based on your recent habits.
4. Receive and review quarterly and annual reports, detailing your reported habits and observed outbreaks.
Note: The individual's daily habit data collected will be leveraged from both a micro and a macro perspective. At a micro level, the individual will receive feedback based on their individual habits. At a macro level, all data submitted will be leveraged in uncovering fundamental statistical truths on what behaviors impact HSV and how.
